Donald Gene Olsen

80, of Centennial, CO passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007 at the Brookside Inn Nursing Facility in Castle Rock, CO.
Don was born in Denver, CO on March 16, 1927 to Arthur and Irma Olsen. He graduated from North High School in 1945. He served his country in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII as a Signalman 3rd Class. Upon being honorably discharged from the Navy, Don pursued a degree in Broadcast Journalism/Sales at the University of Denver. On April 27, 1951, he married Margaret Huber, his one true love. They were inseparable for 55 years until Margaret's passing February 19, 2006. For the greater part of his career, Don worked in the glass business as a Commercial Estimator/Sales and retired from the Gump Glass Company after 40 years.
Don is survived by his sister Patricia Cramer of Copperopolis, CA and 2 nieces; Phyllis Pierazzi of Copperopolis, CA and Cheryl Hill of Phoenix, AZ; 4 children Linda (Art) Wagner of Aurora, CO, Judy Hazzard of Firestone, CO, Steve (Amy) Olsen of Plum City, WI and Pete (Kristi) Olsen of Larkspur, CO; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services Wednesday 2 P.M. at Newcomer Family West Chapel. Inurnment Friday 10 A.M. Area "A" Ft. Logan Cemetery.
