Donald Dean Goodrich

Donald Dean Goodrich, 93, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2025, in Thornton, CO. He was born on October 14, 1931, in Cody, Nebraska to Kenneth George Goodrich and Dolly Agnes (Nelson) Goodrich.

Don lived in Cody and Gordon, NE, and graduated from Gordon High School in 1950. He went on to serve in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1951-1954 as a Petty Officer 2nd Class for the Crash, Fire, and Rescue crew on the U.S.S. Princeton CV-37. He married his wife Donna Belle Goshorn in November of 1952 at the Methodist Church in Gordon, NE. During their 69 years of marriage, they lived in Gordon, NE, San Diego, CA, Rapid City, SD, and Clinton, IA. They found their way to Colorado where they lived in Commerce City, Westminster, Broomfield, and eventually settled in Thornton. Don worked at Buckingham Trucking and Brown Swiss Trucking in Rapid City, South Dakota, followed by Santa Fe Trucking for a short time and Coors Brewing in Colorado. He retired from Storage Technologies in 1996. Don was a wonderful husband and loving father. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching sports, talking about his time in the Navy, and traveling with his wife to Alaska, Bahamas, Hawaii, and attending shows in Branson, MO.

He is survived by his two daughters, Pamela Kay Kutchen of Thornton, CO and Vicky Lynn Lyon of Dacono, CO. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Nicole Krosky of Greeley, CO, Eric (Rebecca) Krosky of Colorado Springs, CO, Michelle (Chris) Bielski of San Antonio, TX, Luke (Melissa) Lyon of Savage, MN, Greg Krosky of Colorado Springs, CO and seven great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his wife Donna Belle, his parents, sister Alice Shirley and brothers Larry and Kenneth Goodrich.
