Donald passed away Sunday, August 7, 2005 at the age of 93. A resident of Lakewood for 45 years, he was an avid tennis player and traveled often to play in amateur tournaments. A retired LT.CMDR in the Naval Reserve, he served on active duty during WWII in the South Pacific. A career civil engineer, he was employed by The United States Bureau of Reclamation with his expertise being in hydrology, retiring in 1972. He will always be loved and remembered as one of "The Greatest Generation." Preceded in death by wife Juanita, he is survived by children Eric, Donna and Charles, grandchildren Erica and Zachary, and great-grandson Kolby. Visitation Thursday, 4-8 PM, with funeral service Friday, 10:00 AM, both at Newcomer Family Funeral Home West Metro Chapel. Entombment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery Garden Mausoleum with full military honors by the United States Navy.
