It is with great sadness that the family of Donald David Jones announces his passing, which occurred on August 17th, 2022. At the time of his passing, Don was surrounded by the love of his wife, Virginia Jones, and all four of his children.
Donald D. Jones was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 21st, 1942. His father and mother were Ival and Iris Jones. He was raised in Denver with his brother, Ronnie Jones. Growing up, Don was a well-loved, somewhat rebellious kid that had many friends and enjoyed baseball. In 1955, his team won the baseball championship.
In 1965, he married Virginia L. Jones. Don and Virgi were best friends and were always the life of the party. They had many wonderful adventures throughout the years, including pool parties, road trips, car shows, camping, building a home, and starting a family of their own. They remained happily married for fifty-seven years.
Don was a loving father and husband who provided for his family. He worked for Wazee Electric Company and Cobe Laboratories until he started his own business, Four Seasons Spas. The company slogan "We're Always In Hot Water" properly reflected the business model specializing in hot tub sales and repairs. Don successfully remained "In Hot Water" and ran his own company for over twenty years until he retired.
Don was an extremely handy and talented man who could do and fix anything, including adding additions to the family home. His favorite project included building a separate structure for the home, a large garage, which remained his favorite part of the house (a regular go-to hideout spot).
Don was also mechanically gifted and passionate about motorcycles and classic cars. Don's strongest passion was the restoration of a vehicle that he purchased as a young man; a beautiful red 1960 MG Midget roadster sports car. Don genuinely enjoyed every minute of the countless hours spent restoring and perfecting the MG with both of his sons.
Don loved spending time with his family and friends. He welcomed everybody with open arms. He enjoyed dance parties, bowling, swimming, and hosting large get-togethers at his house. "Twofers," two beers for the price of one, was something that Don especially enjoyed having with his wife, Virginia, and friends. Don was so well-liked that everybody knew his name and always wanted him to stay for another beer, even if that meant they were buying.
Donald D. Jones is survived by his wife, Virginia Jones; and four children, Darrell Jones, David Jones, Donett Kagarise, and Doreene Walker; Brother, Ronald Jones; Daughter and Son-In-Law Lisa Jones and Dan Walker; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
