Donald Murray Monroe

We said a very sad goodbye to our husband, father, and grandfather. We wanted him here, but God said he wanted him there. Donald Murray Monroe, 86, of Aurora, passed away August 13, 2018.

He was born September 27, 1931 in Arlington, Massachusetts, the son of Murray and Ethel (Whittier) Monroe. He was a graduate of Watertown High School. On January 1, 2015 he married Juliette Wentz Monroe in Aurora, Colorado.

Donald is survived by his wife, Juliette Wentz-Monroe; son, Steven (Denise) Monroe; three daughters, Nanci (Paul) Nilson, Donna (Bob) Selle, and Jane Monroe; step-children, Connie (Denny) Behn, Stephen (Barbara) Wentz, Brian (Cathy) Wentz, Matthew (Kathy) Wentz, and Hal (Teri) Wentz; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Murray L. Monroe; mother, Ethel Amelia Monroe; daughter, Barbara Parfitt; and brother, Robert Monroe.
