Donald S. Peraro, 78, Real Estate Appraiser, died November 13, 2004. Visitation Thursday, November 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, East Metro Chapel, 190 N. Potomac Street, Aurora. Mass will be held Friday, November 19, 10:30 A.M. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 6673 W. Chatfield Avenue, Littleton. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery, staging area "C".
Mr. Pararo was a Denver native, attended the University of Denver, Colorado. He married Virginia Peltz in 1948. He served in the Army Air Force in WWII as a B-17 lower ball gunner. He served as an Air Force Reservist with the U.S. Air Force Academy for 19 years, assigned to the Registrar's office. He received umerous awards, honors and istinctions in that capacity. He attained the rak of Colonel and retired from the Air Force Reserves in 1986. Mr. Peraro was in active SRA designated member of the Appraisal Institute. Hobbies included amateur radio, camping, fishing, gardening, and Barbershop Chorus singing.
He is survived by his loving wife; sons, John (Anne) of Littleton, and Thomas of Aurora; and three grandsons. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mended Hearts, 1522 E. Mineral Place, Littleton, CO, 80122, or Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec Street, Denver, CO, 80231.
