Donald John Sebby was born on June 5, 1934 to Herman and Claira Sebby in Little Rock, Illinois. He spent his childhood in Chicago with his nine siblings.
Donald joined the army and served proudly for 20 years. It was during a deployment in Germany that he met Marie Therese Wyviol.
Don and Marie were married on December 5, 1962 in Germany. Don was baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit on December 18, 1977. He confirmed his faith in our Lord on March 5, 1967.
After his military service ended, Don worked for the post office for 23 years. He loved fishing and working in the garden.
Don is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
Don is survived by his wife, Marie; his daughter Elke Eriksen, son Robert Sebby, and daughter Susan (Russell) Reimers; grandchildren Tim (Christin) Eriksen, Stephanie (Bob) Hiller, Rebecca Sebby, Rachel Sebby, Jewel Reimers, and Alacha Reimers; and four great-grandchilden Olivia, Sophie, Mark, and Timothy; and one brother, Gerald Sebby.
Donald John Sebby died in the Lord on February 19, 2022 having attained the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 14 days.
