Donald L Williams

April 28, 1933 — June 22, 2022

Donald L. Williams Sr., passed away on June 22, 2022 at the age of 89. He was in his home, with family by his side. He said Jesus had told him it was time to come home and he was ready to join him.

A funeral service will be held on July 21st, at 10am, located at 14000 E Jewell Ave, Aurora, CO 80012.

Donald was born April 28, 1933 out on the farm in a two story home, in Morgan County, Colorado. He was one of 9 children. Here, his mother was a stay at home mom and his father was a farmer. Donald attended school up until the 8th grade, then duty called and he was sent to work. He was called by God to be a "doer", and that he did.

Donald met Dorothy Jane Reynolds through family connections. They got married on January 13th, 1957 at The First Christian Church in Fort Morgan. They moved to Englewood, Colorado in 1959.

Donald started his own drywall business in 1961. Donald and Dorothy made a life for themselves in Englewood, Colorado. They had two children, Donald L Williams Jr., and Rebecca Riffel (Williams). Don took his family and traveled to various places, during the children's early years.

Don was an active member of Englewood First Assembly of God, church and oozed Jesus. He loved to share the word, no matter where he was at; the church, his home or the job site. He loved helping anyone he could. He sponsored multiple children across the world by sending them funds monthly. He believed in not only speaking the word of God, but living it.

You could also find Don tending to his yard, garden and his rose bushes. He enjoyed bike riding and spending time with his family. All while doing so, he wore the infamous overalls and straw hat. The overalls had to have two pencils, a pen and a knife. He was ready for anything.

Donald devoted his life to Jesus and making sure that his family was happy and prospering.

Don is survived by his wife, Dorothy J Williams, his son, Donald L Williams Jr., Sisters Shirley Cridlebaugh, Dorothy Corder, Rosemary Grosshans, Nancy McDonald and Brother Paul Williams. Grand-Children, Cory, Cassie, Greg, Jeff and Cheyanne, and 4 Great-Grand children.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Riffel, Brothers Robert, Harry, and John.

"Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others."
