Donna Lynette Young died peacefully on May 9, 2018 in Aurora, Colorado at the age of 71.
Donna is survived by her sister Deanna Hayden, brother in law Steve Hayden, of Torrington, Wyoming; nephews Mitchell Hayden of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Tyler Hayden of Pella, Iowa and several very close friends. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Alice and Hans Petersen of Alliance, Nebraska.
Donna was born on May 16, 1946 in Alliance, Nebraska to Hans Petersen and Alice Emerick. She graduated in 1967 with a degree in Accounting. Donna retired December 31, 1999 from the city of Aurora, Colorado after serving for 36 years as City Clerk.
A gravesite memorial is scheduled for 1:00, June 23, 2018 at the Alliance Cemetery with a brief reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donna's life.
