Donald Raymond Chavez, born the fourth child of Eloy and Cecelia Chavez, in Denver Colorado, on January 1, 1949.
Donnie grew up and lived in the Denver area all his life. His love of travel took him on many adventures around the globe. Donnie's great sense of humor and outgoing personality awarded him numerous friends all around the world.
Growing up a teenager in the 60's Donnie was a true "hippie". His first job and proudest achievement was parking cars at Woodstock.
Donnie met the love of his life Cheryl Rickabaugh at a rock concert in 1969. They married in 1971, that same year their only child Matthew was born. Their pride and joy!
Donnie is survived by his wife Cheryl; Son Matthew; 2 bothers, 5 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings.
