Dorothy Croy, 81, died May 12, 2010, with her family by her side in Arvada, Colorado.
Visitation services will be held on Saturday, May 15, from 5-8 p.m. and funeral services on Sunday, May 16 at 2 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home and Mortuary, 901 S. Sheridan, Lakewood, Colorado. Burial will follow on Thursday, May 20, at 12:30 p.m., at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
She was born October 15, 1928, in St. Catherine, Missouri, to Ira and Alice (Smith) Newman. She was united in marriage to Earl J. Croy on July 24, 1946.
She is survived by her husband and their three children: Earl S. Croy (Evelyn Dodd) of Littleton, Colorado; Kathy (Croy) Bruneau (John Bruneau) of Aurora, Colorado; and Mark Croy (Lori Hamilton) of Fulton, Missouri. She is also survived by several grandchildren: Paul Bruneau and Melissa Agnew of Aurora, CO. Erin Croy and Eric Croy of Littleton, CO; Allen Croy, Kathryn "Annie" Arnone, Heather Billups, Ashley Singleton, Robert McKee and Mark McKee of Missouri, and six great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was a talented homemaker and was known for her cooking, especially her bread making.
Her interests included family, gardening, and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Marie Agnes Newman and Margaret Pettit, and her brother Richard Newman.
