Dorothy Ellen Capraro, of Denver, passed away Thursday, May 8.
Dorothy was devoted to family and friends, who remember her as kind and funloving. Her life with her husband Tony, children, grandchildren, great grand-children, and friends was more rich and meaningful than any obituary could convey. We'll pray the Rosary for her on Tuesday May 13, at 7:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., and attend Mass., Wednesday, May 14 at 10:00 am at Notre Dame Church, 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd., followed by internment at Fort Logan Cemetery.
Born to Ida Faye Leach and William Bevington on March 23, 1925 in Denver, Colorado, Dorothy attended Denver public schools where she met her future husband Anthony Capraro. She was a homemaker first, but also worked for a while at Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph as an operator, and for the City of Westminster as a court clerk. She was also active in Girl Scouts, Wives of Submarine Veterans of WW II, and the YMCA Go Getters.
