Dorris Diel, 86, passed away December 20, 2021, from complications associated with Covid 19.
She was a lifelong resident of the Denver metro area, graduating from North High School and spending her childhood in Globeville, then moving to Harvey Park and eventually Lakewood.
She married the love of her life, Bill Diel, on May 9, 1953. Home life and family was very important to her and she spent a great deal of time with her parents while they were alive. Nothing made her happier than sitting at the kitchen table talking with family.
Dorris took great pride in her home and her garden. She loved all types of flowers.
Dorris is survived by son and daughter-in-law, David and Glenda Diel; sister-in-law Lorraine Reinick; cousins Jim and Myrna Ditter and Sharon Fleming.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Diel; mother and father Irene and Herman Ditter; brother Robert Ditter; in-laws Adolph and Katherine Reinick; and sister-in-law Helen Fargo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
A short graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. December 31, 2021, Olinger Crown Hill Cemetary, 7777 W. 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge CO 80033, Staging area "C" near main gate.
