Dotty Bingham-White

Dotty Bingham-White was born on July 25, 1946 in Dennison, Kansas to John Edwin and Anne Juanita Braum. Her family moved to Manhattan, Kansas in the early 1950's, and then to Ottawa, Kansas a few years later. Dotty graduated from Princeton High School in 1963 and moved to Ft. Collins, CO to attend college. This was the beginning of a long and enduring love of Colorado.

In 1967, Dotty became an employee of Arlen's Department Store where she made several lifelong friends. Over forty years ago, three of these friends made a commitment with Dotty, to meet and share each other's birthdays and other special occasions together, and continued to do so until last year. There probably is not a restaurant in Denver that has not served this fine group of beautiful women at one time or another!

Soon after starting work at Arlen's, yet another friend introduced Dotty to her brother Bob Bingham and they married in 1968. They had two beautiful children, a son, Charles David Bingham and a daughter, Molly Anne Bingham.

Dotty went to work for Frontier Airlines in the early 70's, and had the opportunity to travel extensively, and quite often traveled back to Kansas to visit her Mom and Dad, five brothers and one sister.

Circumstances arose, and in 1978, Dotty and Bob divorced, but stayed friends. Bob has remained close to all of Dotty's family, and is very special to all of us.

In 1988, Dotty went to work for Diner's Club and began to make new friends. She also pursued a special interest in arts and crafts. Dotty proved to be very adept and imaginative with her crafts, which included among other things, her "hunny bear" designs as well as her flower creations made with flowers from her own garden.

Soon after, Dotty met a gentleman named Ron White who would prove to be her match, in so many ways. Ron says they married two and a half years ago, after he'd pursued her for twenty years. Together, Ron and Dotty maintained a warm and hospitable home that was open to all their family and friends.

Dotty was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in 2000. After struggling with CLL for these past few years, she left us on Sunday, October 7, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Ron White, her son Charles Bingham, and daughter Molly Manuel and seven grandchildren.
