Born: Heron Lake, Minnesota on December 15, 1934
Died: Lakewood, Colorado on February 8, 2023
Services held at Our Savior Corner of Hope Church, located at 1975 South Garrison Street, on Saturday, February 18 at 1PM.
He lived in Lakewood, Colorado. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Joyce Mary Murphey, two sons Kenneth Allan Murphey (Linda) and Mark Douglas Murphey (Jill) and three grandchildren Matthew Murphey (Sheena), Sara Henshaw (Andrew) and Lucas Murphey (Maura), and three great grandchildren, Caden Henshaw, Emma Henshaw and Hailey Henshaw.
He served two years in the US Army stationed in Korea with the 25th Infantry Division. He then attended the University of Minnesota graduating with a degree in Political Science. He subsequently worked for the Federal Government as a personnel manager until retiring at the age of 55. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling many parts of the US and Europe. He also worked at numerous theaters in Denver and Arvada, first as a volunteer and then as Front of House staff.
Burial services will be held at Fort Logan on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 10:15AM.
