Duane Parker passed away on December 22, 2022 at 95 years of age. He is survived by Mary, his wife of more than 71 years and 5 children, Leslie Parker, Celia Haines, Nancy Jacobsen, Alice Friend, and Janet Crespin. Duane had 13 grand children and 18 great grandchildren.
Duane was born in Nebraska and attended Doane college and the University of Nebraska where he graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He met Mary Deardoff in Lincoln, NE and they were married on Jan 20, 1951. Duane and Mary moved to Colorado in 1957. They lived in Denver until 1965 when they built the Parker home outside of Morrison CO, where they raised their family.
He served in the US Army and had an outstanding career being employed at the Elgin Watch company in Lincoln, NE, and for more than 30 years at Martin Marietta and FMC corporation in Colorado. He was active in his community and church and helped design and build the Foothills Bible Church outside of Denver.
He is sorely missed by all of his friends and family. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a great husband, father and friend.
