Born in Englewood, CO to Jack and Vivian Fortune. Dwight was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and retired from the City and County of Denver, CO December of 2007 with 26 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Leona; sons Richard and Brian Fortune; daughter Tammy Fortune; Brothers Richard and Roger Johnson; nephews Donald, Jesse and Kristopher Maestas; nices Lisa and Sophia Maestas.
When he shall die, Take him and cut him out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so fine, That all the world will be in love with night.
