Eddie V. Anderson

June 25, 1943 — January 30, 2021

Eddie "Ed" Anderson, 77, passed away on January 30, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado.

Ed was born in Greeley, Colorado on June 25, 1943 to Nels and Willye Anderson. His family moved to Denver where he attended school and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. In August 1963 Ed enlisted the United States Navy and served for twenty years receiving many awards and commendations. He saw much of the world while on ships and stationed in several bases in the United States and abroad. While stationed in Japan, he met his wife Aiko. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last year before Aiko passed away May 3, 2020. Ed honorably discharged from the Navy June 1983 and he and Aiko returned to Colorado and settled in Aurora. With his communications and electrical skills acquired in the Navy, he secured a position with ICG Communications and worked there many years.

Ed enjoyed spending time with his buddies at the VFW for a beer and conversation. Joining veteran groups he was easy to spot as the "Navy" guy. Navy hats, Navy car stickers, Navy plaques, pictures, etc. He also enjoyed fishing and time spent on the golf course. Ed was good at fixing and building things, including an addition to his home. His workshop was filled with every imaginable tool and machine. He spent many enjoyable hours there with his projects.

Ed had an even temperament and a ready smile. His wit was quick and dry. He will be missed.

He is survived by his sister Nancy Ditman, brother Ernie Anderson (Marian), brother Gary Anderson and two nieces, Tammy Littlefield and Tina Maute.
