Edith Martin was born December 10th 1952 to Martha Ann Daily and RC Martin in Denver, Colorado. When she was born she was 1lb 15oz but she was a fighter from the beginning! She was the youngest of 6 children. She was a sweet child who loved her siblings and nieces and nephews dearly and they loved her! She loved music from a very young age and kept music in her heart throughout her life.

Edith was educated throughout the Denver Public School system, where she meet Jean Gant and Charlotte Rann her best friends through school. She attended Whittier Elementary, Morey and Gove Middle Schools and Manuel High School and then attended Emily Griffith Trade School where she graduated ith her high school diploma.

Shortly after graduating high school she went to college, got her R.N. and had a baby girl Tamisha Martin shortly after married Ruben Johnson and then had a baby boy Joshua Johnson all from Denver, Colorado.

Edith was a general service employee for the Air Force base attending Lowry Air Force base and then Buckley Air Force base. Where she retired at 32 years. She met her lifetime friends Hillda Pena, Debbie Netters, and Norma Sanders while employed here. They had genuine friendships that extended through their children.

Edith and Ruben both came from VERY large families. Although they only had 2 children, they still ended up with a very large family. Edith is survived by two children, ten grandchildren ( JoNassia, JaKarah, Akilah, JuStai, Sirr, Master, King, JaKole, Major, JaQuai) and a host of great-grandchildren and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Edith loved to go outside and see new things. She traveled to Las Vegas, the Caribbean Islands, Memphis, and a few other places. She lived to watch her wheel of Fortune and Home & Garden television. Her and her friends would go up to Central City. She would always have fun especially when she won. She'd wake the whole house up and we'd celebrate until 5 am it seemed.

Edith was a kind, loving soul who would give everything that she had for anybody that needed it. She never turned her back on you if she loved you and she loved unconditionally but she didn't "take no mess".

She will be remembered and missed dearly.
