Edward Lee Lucero

August 17, 1954 — December 13, 2021

Edward Lee Lucero Sr. (Eddie) died at home at the age of 67 on December 13, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. He has gone home to be reunited with the Lord and many family members who have gone before him, his brothers, sisters and his son.

Eddie was born to the late Pete and Cornelia Lucero on August 17, 1954 in Denver, Colorado. Eddie lived in the Lakewood/Edgewater area for most of his life. He was a United States Army Veteran having served from 1973 to 1974 during the Vietnam War era and was honorably discharged.

Eddie was a strong and generous man. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working on cars and staying busy, or "Rockin and Rolin" as he would say. He always offered a helping hand when he could. Eddie loved to go fishing, some of his favorite places to fish were Tarryall Reservoir and Antero Reservoir, in hopes of catching a big brown trout. He was also well known for his work in his garden. He loved spending as much time as he could with his family. He will be greatly missed and remembered by many.

Eddie is survived by his two daughters Tara Montano and Danielle Lucero; his six grandkids Jesse Lucero, Jalen Lucero, Freddie Lucero, Nathaniel Montano, Alisia Montano, and Ezekiel Montano; his brothers George Lucero, Ted Lucero, Hubert Lucero and Tim Lucero; his sisters Regina Vigil, June Trujillo, Delores Garcia, Isabell Martinez and Susan Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eddie's funeral services will be on January 4, 2021 at 10:00 am at Presentation of Our Lady Catholic Church located at 695 Julian St., Denver, Colorado 80204. Burial services will take place the same day at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to join the reception, following the burial services at the VFW Post 501 located at 4747 W. Colfax Ave., Denver CO 80204.
