Edward Michael Luiszer
Edward Michael Luiszer was born October 24, 1923 in Paterson, New Jersey to John and Teresia Luiszer. Eddy was the youngest son of 4 boys; John, Albert and Frank Luiszer. He spent his youth in Clifton, New Jersey enjoying his boyhood friends from the Holy Trinity Parish calling themselves "The Trinity Aces". He also looked forward to frequent trips to upstate New York to the family's Dairy Farm. Edward Luiszer enlisted in the US Army at 19 years old. He is most remembered for his service in WWII for his contributing role in the Normandy DDay invasion. Collectively he earned 6 Battle stars including the Battle of the Bulge.
After the war, Ed was married and settled once again in the Clifton home where his three sons were born; Edward, Frederick and Robert. Later he moved his family to Denver, Colorado and had 2 daughters; Maripat and Peggy. His main occupation during the Denver days was at Park Floral Greenhouses. He naturally had a green thumb and was assigned to the indoor house plants. In the later years of his life, Edward returned to his hometown of Clifton, and worked in warehouse labor until retiring at the Becton Dickinson and Company. His favorite pastimes included gardening, fishing, camping and casino trips to Atlantic City. He lived his life as a simple man with simple needs and simple pleasures.
Mr. Luiszer is survived by his five children, Edward Luiszer (Glendale, AZ); Frederick Luiszer (Boulder, CO); Robert Luiszer and spouse Peggy (Littleton, CO); Maripat Gallas and spouse Daniel (Aurora, CO); and Peggy Leitner and spouse Rick (Lafayette, CO). Edward is also survived by ten grandchildren: Bryant Luiszer (Denver, CO); Brandon Luiszer and spouse Joelle (San Diego, CA); Shannon Roquemore and spouse Jamie (Erie, CO); Dillon Leitner (Denver, CO) Amy Benedict and spouse David (Aurora, CO); Jennifer Luiszer (San Diego, CA); Joy Gallas (Denver, CO); Christopher Luiszer (Irvine, CA); Mallory Leitner (Lafayette, CO); and Levi Gallas (Alamosa, CO). He is also survived by three great-grandsons; Cody Roquemore, Ty Benedict and Duke Roquemore.
