As a Service Mechanic, he landed in Granby, Colorado for few years and married Millie Rafferty (deceased 2nd wife). While in Granby he worked as a cook and bartender. He went hunting and fishing quite a bit. Gramps and Uncle Elmer have several hunting and fishing stories. They moved to Englewood, Colorado before taking up residence in Denver. He started working for Rocky Mountain Prestress (1970-2000). After Gramps retired, he went fishing and watched a lot of westerns. Spent a lot of time talking to Uncle Elmer, John May (longtime friend) and his neighbor Mike Valdez. Melanie and Kalup (grandson in-law) moved in with him in 2012 to help him with some of the health issues that he was having. They went camping and fishing the 1st few years up in Granby and Fresno areas. Over the years they played several card games and dominos. One of Gramps? favorite card games was ?Bullshit!? also one of his all around go to statements.
