Eileen Bernice (Paschal) Lodge, of Rome, NY went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2020 in Aurora, CO.
Eileen B (Paschal) Lodge was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada to parents Frederick and Viola (Hayden) Paschal on July 4, 1928.
As a young woman, Eileen worked at Eaton's Dept. Store, Ontario, Canada and then moved to Montreal Canada. While living in Montreal, she met and married her husband, Alexander J. Lodge III. They married August 9, 1952 in Montreal, Canada and then relocated to Rome, NY in 1955. Eileen worked at GE, Utica, NY for a short period of time and then returned the job she loved the most which was "being a loving wife and mother to her 6 daughters". She served as Girl Scout Leader for eldest daughter's troop and was an "avid cheerleader" at her daughter's and grandchildren's sporting events as well as recitals. You could always look up to the bleachers or sideline and see mom and dad, grandpa and grandma, cheering them on with great pride and love. She and her husband were family focused.
She took great pride in cooking and baking for her family and ensuring they were fed and cared for. In addition, she and her husband extended holiday dinner to the Airmen who were friends of her daughters and couldn't make it home. They were always welcome at our dinner table. Her and husband were family focused with big hearts and lots of love.
Eileen is survived by her daughters, Karen Jordan and Debra Lodge of Aurora, CO; Wendy Lodge of Rome, NY, and Vicki Lodge-Mann of Utica, NY, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, many nieces & nephews and grand nieces & grand nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Nancy (William) Paschal of Maine. Let's not forget her furry granddog, Polo, who lovingly stayed by her side and watched over her.
She is predeceased in death by her husband, Alexander J. Lodge of Rome, NY, her daughters, Carol (Lodge) McCaskill of Rome, NY and Shawn (Lodge) Miles of Kinderhook, NY, her son-in-law William (Vicki) Mann of Utica, NY, also her sisters Marie and Evelyn Paschal of Moncton, Canada and her brothers Fredrick Jr. & Harry Paschal of St. John, Canada, Vincent Paschal of Oakville, Ontario, and William "Billy" Paschal of St. Petersburg, Fl.
