Born in Alexandria, Minnesota, Eileen was the oldest of 5 children born to Ernest and Phoebe Henderson on October 20, 1920. She attended a one room schoolhouse and completed her education at the Free Church School in Chicago where she met Gordon Lindgren. They were married Aug 7, 1947 in Rose City, MN and remained married for 52 years when Gordon passed away in 1999. They lived in Minneapolis, MN; Moline, IL; and Denver, CO. Eileen was primarily a homemaker but also worked as an elementary school teacher's aid, was active in children's ministry and music at various churches. She is survived by three children and their spouses Coleen Lindgren, James (Lorrie) Lindgren and Ross (Janet) Lindgren; eight beloved grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters Audrie Nicholas and Orahlie England; brother Laurel Henderson.
Services are to be held on Friday, November 26 at 2:00 PM at Southern Gables Church, 4001 S. Wadsworth Blvd.
