Victor Earle Brewer was born on February 16, 1946, in Perry, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charles Brewer of Kansas City, Oklahoma and Lillabell Adkins-Lewis of Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was proceeded in death by two sisters, Mary Katherine Adkins-Rich of Enid, Oklahoma, Lillian Lewis-Trimble of Salt Lake City, Utah and one brother who passed away shortly after birth. He was also proceeded in death by Quincy W. Brewer his adopted son/grandson.
Victor, also called Earle, attended Blane School in Perry, Oklahoma and East High School and Denver Seminary in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in the Church Of God In Christ, I was told that he carried his bible with him every where he went. The kids would tease him whenever they saw him, and would say "here comes Earle with his bible." He started preaching at the age of 12 and was ordained at age 16. He attended Perry Church Of God In Christ, Perry, Oklahoma, Pastor Phillip H. Porter, Sr. He was a member of Holy Trinity COGIC, Pastor Feaster. He was a part of the Denver Minister Alliance and love to preach God's Word and would minister to any and everyone he came in contact with. After moving to California he became a member of New Sweet Home COGIC, Superintendent Dad Macklin, Greater Love COGIC, Superintendent John Quincy Jones and served as the Assistant Pastor, and Glad Tidings COGIC, Bishop Jerry Macklin and served as the Assistant Pastor.
In 1998 he moved back to Colorado and worked with several churches. He ran revivals at many churches in the California and Colorado. Him and Debra, his wife, would do tag team ministering during revivals. In 2000 he started Fresh Manna Pentecostal Church, the first African American church in Highlands Ranch, CO. After five years he had to relinquished the church due to health issues. He then became a member of St. Marks House of Prayer, Pastor Mark Wolford. He also volunteered at their food bank.
He retired from the United States Postal Service after working for over twenty years in Colorado and California. He was the owner of Integrity Complete Maintenance Service a cleaning service specializing in Clean Rooms and retired from Douglas County School District in Colorado.
Victor also served four years in the United States Air Force, stationed in Viet Nam. When Dad Macklin became ill and requested Elder Brewer to come back to California, he realized that there was such a need for Hospice Care. After returning to Colorado he started researching hospice training and became a hospice volunteer with Evercare Hospice and Palliative Care of Denver, at the Colorado State Veteran's Home. With his military background and being a minister gave him the unique ability to help the veterans.
Victor Earle Brewer departed this life on December 12, 2022, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his loss his wife of thirty-seven years, Debra A. Brewer; his daughter Dawn Brewer-Igboneni (Melford); grandsons, Gregory Jon Woolbright (Charisma), Jeremiah Woolbright, Aaron Woolbright, Micah Woolbright and Quincy Z. Brewer; granddaughter, Denyse Grimes Woolbright and 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
