On January 16, 2022, Elizabeth Coet died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 93 years old. Elizabeth lived a long and fulfilling life as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was born and lived a good part of her life in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She and her husband retired to their beloved cabin in Pinedale, Wyoming which became a wonderful gathering place for their family for 40 years.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years, Theodore J. Coet, son, Larry J. Coet, daughter, Cheri Schoolcraft, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary Zupence and brothers, Frank, Fred, and sister Marie Walker.
Elizabeth was unaffected by difficulties or circumstances and always maintained a "glass half full" attitude. She had a quiet strength and rarely complained. She loved her family and had a great faith in God. She had a servant's heart and always gave willingly. One example was her potica, a labor of love that she shared with many. The legacy of her love and faith will live on in our hearts. She will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, comforting words, prayers, and expressions of kindness. May God richly bless you.
There will be a small service for immediate family members only. The family asks that
Memorial donations be sent to St. Jude's Hospital in Memory of Elizabeth Coet.
