Ellen L. Stoneberger

March 29, 1932 — December 31, 2020

Ellen Louise Stoneberger, 88, of Federal Heights, CO, passed peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at her home. Born in March of 1932 in Denver, Colorado. Ellen had eight siblings. Ellen married Jacob William Stoneberger "Stony", of Luray, VA, "The love of her life" and that union lasted for sixty-six beautiful years.
Ellen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother and yes, sister who sought to bring joy to anyone she met and surely did just that. Although her career was in the grocery meat cutting environment, she also spent countless hours caring for friends and family that were home bound or in nursing homes, whenever needed.
Ellen is survived by daughter, Judith (Tim) Ericson, of Castle Rock, CO; and sons, Jacob Stoneberger, Jr. of Federal Heights, CO and Jerry (Diane) Stoneberger of Wauneta, NE; two sisters, Hazel (Richard) Stoneberger of Denver, CO and Jeanette (Wilson) MacDonald of San Diego, CA; and to her joy Ellen and Stony have 11 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
Ellen enjoyed traveling with Stony, visiting with and dancing with friends, Bunko games with the ladies and "31" card games with anyone, but especially with her grandchildren. Holidays were always special to Ellen and she dearly loved having family around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Edith Frese; sister, Betty Frese; brothers, Billy, Ralph, Raymond, Arthur "Art" and Robert "Bob" Frese.
Ellen will forever be missed but her legacy of love for others will never be forgotten.
