Elsie Pearl Sapp

Elsie Pearl Sapp 1913 - 2007

Born Elsie Pearl Brown on the 10th day of September, 1913, in Orange, Texas. The seventh child of Dave and Annie Brown. She was the sister to Albert, George, Louis, Author, Fritz and Myra.

She live in Orange where she graduated from high school in 1931. Around that time she met Chester Sapp. They were married in 1935 and moved to Houston, Texas. They had one son, James Eugene, born on March 5th, 1938.

The family moved back to Orange in 1942 and then back to the Houston area in 1946. Later in 1952 they moved to Pasadena, Texas. Elsie was widowed in 1958 and continued to live in Pasadena, Texas until 1998 when she moved to Colorado with her son James and daughter-in-law Cathy.

She had 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Methodist church. During her early adult life she was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America women's lodge, and was president of her local lodge one year.

She is the last of her siblings to pass on but she is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and a few cousins.

In lieu of flowers, send donations in memory of Elsie to Mapleton Care Center, 115 Ingals Street, Lakewood, CO 80226.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13401 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas.
