Emma passed away peacefully on April 9th 2024 at her home in Denver, Colorado. Emma was born on July 17th 1934 she is proceeded in death by her husband Delbert James and her parents Emilio and Carmen Dorrence, her brother Ernie Dorrence. She is survived by her sisters Dora Martinez and Dorothy Ledezma. Emma leaves a legacy of children Elaine Fernandez, Elva Federico, Eva Garcia, Ernie Fernandez, Evan and Lori Fernandez, Erin Fernandez, and Delbert James JR. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren.
Emma graduated from North High in 1952. Emma's Hobby was sewing, she became a successful freelance sower she made a wedding dress, drapes, and cushions she also made the lining and the pillow for her grandmother Victoria Dorrence's casket in 1976. Emma retired from the schools as a cafeteria lady. Emma will be remembered by her kindness, grace, intellect, and smile. Emma will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
