Emma Schramm, 82, of Littleton, Colorado passed away on January 1, 2019 at Porter Hospice Residence in Centennial, Colorado.
Emma was born on August 5th, 1936 in Onida,South Dakota. She attended school in Gettysburg, So. Dakota until the family moved off the farm to Pierre, So.Dak. where she attended high school before going to 2 years of college in Aberdeen, So. Dak. She then taught elementary school and married Dan in 1959. While raising 6 children they lived in So. Dak.,Wyoming, Minnesota and Colorado.
Emma spent her life helping various people and taking care of her family and was active in her church. Her favorite was managing the 24-hour Adoration Chapel at St. Francis Cabrini with a dear friend for a number of years. Emma found much joy spending time with her children and grandchildren and helping them when needed.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; children, Mike (Cai), Kathy (Kevin) Howe, Deanna (Deacon Gary) Miller, Mary (Jon) Haas, Jim (Cheryl) and Scott (Michelle). Emma and Dan have twenty grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Chris Koch, and nine siblings and their husbands and wives.
