Enna Louise Hornung Hill, age 66, of Aurora, CO passed with peace and grace on December 12, 2019.
She was born to Lawrence John and Louise Hornung on May 6, 1953 in St. Marys, PA. She was the eldest of three daughters.
She obtained her LPN degree in New York and enlisted in the Air Force earned several commendations during her service time. At her duty station in Chicksands Air Force Base in England, Enna met the love of her life, William Emerson Hill. The two were joined in marriage on March 25, 1982.
Enna resigned her commission and opted to become homemaker, mother, crafter, needle-worker, baker, and meal-maker extraordinaire. Fondly remembered by all was her chicken stew over buttered biscuits!
Enna leaves behind, husband William E. Hill; daughter Abby and husband Rob Riley; son Shawn Sebastian Hill; daughter Elizabeth Caitlin Nicole Hill and partner, Joe Ramos; daughter Deirdre Lynn Braywick and husband Tom; daughter-in-law Melissa Hill; six grandchildren—Jerico, Derrick and Aaron Hill, Jocelyn Ramos-Hill and Matheo Ramos-Hill; Killion Micah Hill-Braywick; two sisters Margie and Jennifer and father Lawrence Hornung. Predeceasing Enna in death were son, Micah Aaron Hill and mother, Louise Hornung.
Enna was an inveterate traveler and due to her career and marriage to an Air Force serviceman had an opportunity to visit and/or live in England, Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, New Mexico, Florida and Nebraska to name a few. She and William finally planted more firm roots in the State of Colorado.
She was a wonderful gardener, nature enthusiast, loved collecting butterflies, in addition to all her other skills. Enna was the original cat magnet and many, many cats over the years joined the Hill Family and were treasured by them.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Church Aurora, 19001 E. Jefferson Drive, Aurora, CO on Tuesday evening, December 17, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. The following day she will have graveside service and military honors at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO at 10:00 a.m.
