Enrique Samuel Nunez

September 10, 1947 — September 6, 2018

Enrique Samuel "Sam" Nunez, 70, of Denver, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018.

He was born to the late Pedro and Mary Nunez, September 10, 1947, in El Paso, Texas.

Sam served in the US Army as a Radio Operator from 1967 to 1969. He was to be deployed to Vietnam for his first tour during the war but was brought home to El Paso when his mom passed. Sam eventually moved to Colorado to join his brothers Peter and Gilbert where he made Colorado his home.

Sam always had a lively and adventurous soul, filling his life with fishing, camping, bowling, rollerblading, skateboarding, swimming, biking, snowboarding, skydiving, and playing baseball with his children. His knack for cooking always brought family and friends close and remains a strong part of his legacy.

Sam is survived by his 2 children Danny Nunez and Elisa Nunez. He is also survived by his soon to arrive grandchild Jacob.
