Erlinda Colmenero

Erlinda Colmenero, 90, of Thornton, Colorado, went home to be with the Lord on August 31st at her residence with her Loving Family at her side.

Dove Celebration (5:30 P.M.) and Rosary (6 P.M.) will be recited on Wednesday September 8th at Newcomer Funeral Home: 901 South Sheridan Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80226

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 9th 10 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic: 2760 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205

Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her late Husband Oscar R. Colmenero.

Reception will be held at Radiance Church: 8301 Rosemary St. Commerce City, 80022 from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M.

Erlinda was born in Elgin, Texas to Blas and Andrea Martinez on October 31st, 1930. She married Oscar R. Colmenero in Denver CO. She spent her time caring and cooking for family and loved making tortillas. She worked as a caretaker for her mother until her passing, and then took on raising her nephew, Blas Martinez.

Erlinda is preceded in death by her loving husband Oscar R. Colmenero, her Parents Blas and Andrea Martinez, Son Rueben Quinonez, Brothers Magaleno and Hector (Manuel) Martinez and Sister Carmen Fraga.

Erlinda is survived by children: Anselmo Quinonez, Herminia Quinonez, Ernestina Lopez, Rose Quinonez and Angelita Quinonez, her siblings Eva Espinoza, Mario Martinez, Blas Martinez Jr, and Jose Luis Martinez, her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
