Erna K. Abrahamson

94, of Denver, Colorado, recently passed away due to a combination of conditions, aptly described as "old age." She was born in May, 1913 in Evanston, Illinois to Frederick and Olga Horn Kuehn and spoke German at home during her early years. She attended the University of Chicago, graduating with a PhB in 1934. While there, she met John Deinhart Abrahamson of Roberts, Montana, whom she married in 1938. They celebrated 54 married years before his passing in 1992. Her only child Karen, was born in 1944. Erna traveled extensively including visits to India, Nepal, and Bali. She moved from Arizona in 2001 to live in Denver, closer to family. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gerthrude and Robert Cameron of Chicago, Ilinois; daughter; son-in-law, David Farnell; step-granddaughters and step-greatgrandchildren (Oma to them) of Colorado and California; a sister-in-law, Greta Christner and her husband, Robert of Red lodge, Montana; a brother-in-law, William Abrahamson and his wife Elaine, Columbus, Georgia; nieces, Teddy Mattson, and Jeanne Bradbury and her husband John; as well as numerous cousins. A celebration of Erna's life will be held in Denver later in the summer.
