Ernest Rojo

November 6, 1947 — November 16, 2022

Ernest (Ernie) Rojo was born in Lamar, Colorado to Florinda (Flora) and Fernando (Fred) Rojo. He was the youngest brother of 10 siblings, he was preceded in death by his beloved Daughter, Sommer Rene, Brothers Ralph, Marcelo, Daniel Rojo. Sisters; Dora Saldana, Vivian Kelley. Ernie is survived by brother Robert Rojo, sister Rosalie Lucero (Bill), Erlinda Martinez, Rosemarie (Rudy) Sandoval, Joanne (David) Cordova. Spouse of 25 years Kathleen (Kathy) Duffy. Together they raised her grandson Anthony, Ernie was an important male figure in Anthony's life.

Ernie (like many people in our family) had a great passion for animals and loved his dogs Marlo and Minnie and his Cats Shiba & Lucky.
Ernie attended Colorado University in Boulder and went on to work as an Insurance Adjuster for Country Companies, he was there for 30 years.
Everybody that knew Ernie said that he was an extremely generous person and would literally give you the "shirt off his back". He did so many nice things for people and never complained. Maybe he was too nice at times and should have put himself first.

Ernie was also known to be the life of the party and always enjoyed getting together with friends and family.

Ernie will be laid to rest with his daughter Sommer at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson Arizona.

We are hoping that he and Sommer's souls are already re-united in Heaven, and they are catching up on all time they lost.

Ernie you will be sadly missed by all of us family and friends here on Earth and hopefully one day we will all be re-united again. You will always be in our hearts and memories.

The Memorial Service will be November 28, 2022 at 11:15, Church of All Saints, 2559 S. Federal Blvd. Denver Co 80219.
