Ernest Vigil of Denver Colorado, 90 years of age, passed away at home surrounded by family on December 8, 2022.
Ernest was born on September 26, 1932, in Salida Colorado to Fructoso and Beatrice (Gallegos) Vigil. Ernest was the youngest of ten children.
Ernest served his country for many years; first in the United States Marine Corps and Air Force, then by working for the U.S. Department of Labor, Mining Safety and Health Administration.
Ernest loved Colorado and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting, and camping, as well as long walks in Denver's parks, gardening, and watching squirrels in his yard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha, his daughters Maria and Patricia (Daniel Lickteig) Vigil, his brother Rudolph, and numerous nieces and nephews.
