Ervin Orville Holmes

Ervin Orville Holmes, 83, of Aurora, Colorado went to heaven on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
He was born to the late Orville & Berniece Holmes January 28, 1939 in Lincolnville, Kansas. He graduated from Joint Rural High School in 1958. He relocated to Aurora, Colorado where he met and married Alice Hoskins in 1976.
He started working in the oil fields in Kansas. When he moved to Colorado, he worked for Silvers Engineering Company as a boiler maker. Then on to Gambles SKO as a receiving manager. He eventually retired from Safeway as an order selector after 21 years.
His hobbies include woodworking, restoring old cars and old tractors.
Ervin is survived by his wife Alice, one daughter LeAnn Chrestensen, one step daughter Darla VanFossen, and one granddaughter Amanda Chrestensen. He is also survived by one brother, Delbert Holmes and wife Ronda, their son Derick, daughter Desirea & her husband Brian Adelgren and daughter Faith, plus several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, and his parents Orville & Berniece Holmes.
