Mrs. Estella Dias, of Denver, CO, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the golden age of 108.
Estella was born to parents Cosmo and Sally Brewster on March 9, 1912 in Pleasant Grove Louisiana. She grew up as the 5th child of 13 children, attended school in Louisiana and married her husband Alma Dias. During WWII she and her husband worked on the navy base producing munitions. Estella and her husband were re-stationed by the navy to the state of Utah where she continued to work on the Navy base.
After Estella retired in 1976 the family moved to Colorado, she became a homemaker and a babysitter to many children. She attended Shiloh Baptist church, she enjoyed being with her family, reading the bible and from time to time would enjoy a bowl of vanilla ice cream or an old fashion cherry wink cookie.
Estella also lived long enough to enjoy time with all of her grandkids and even her great -great grandchildren. She was a pillar in all of our lives and her memory will live on through all of us.
Estella is survived by her son's John, Larry, Roy, Carl and her only daughter Ruby. Estella had two other children who passed during her beautiful life: Son and twin brother of Ronald Roy Dias; Donald Ray Dias and son James Lee Dias.
Estella is survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
A viewing of the body will be available to the public at New Comers Funeral Home On November 7th between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m. The service will take place on November 7th at 3:00 p.m., friends and family are invited to attend the viewing. The family is grateful for condolences, kind words, and acts of kindness.
