On a beautiful, Rocky Mountain morning, our Lord sent Angels to escort Estella F (Martinez) Marcheski back home to heaven. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald R Marcheski, her son, Regis Maroney, her parents and siblings. Estella is survived by her stepchildren and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Estella worked as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service. Estella participated in many different activities throughout her 97 years. She swam, hiked, parasailed, zip-lined, and even walked the "high ropes" at fitness camp. Estella enjoyed going to the YMCA, participating in the water aerobics classes and working out in the exercise room. She enjoyed traveling, taking cruises with her beloved husband, Jerry, and watching football. She was a member of the Go-Getters Club and Active Older Americans and took part in many of the groups' excursions. She enjoyed attending fitness camps in Estes Park. She loved cats and dogs. Estella also enjoyed sewing, playing cards and completing crossword puzzles. She was not one to back down from adventure. Estella was a member of the American Business Women Association, a long standing member of the Southwest Denver YMCA, and a member of Holy Name Catholic Parish, Sheridan, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either the Holy Name St. Vincent DePaul Society Conference, Sheridan, CO or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN in Estella's memory. On Friday, June 18, 2021, a Rosary will be held at 10:30 am with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Holy Name Parish, Sheridan, CO. A light reception will follow the Mass in the St. Agnes Center at Holy Name Parish. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery will be at a later date.
