Esther L. Banks

Esther Lillian (Tuschhoff) Banks was born on June 19, 1934 to Grace I. and Reinhardt F. Tuschhoff (both deceased) in Millersville, Mo. She had one brother, Norman Gene who preceded her in death in 2013.

The family moved to Jackson, Mo. when she was 9 years old where she graduated from Jackson High School in 1953. 

Esther met Otis Lee Banks in 1952 and they were married in September of 1953 and began their married life in Charleston, W Va. During their marriage they were transferred to New Orleans, La., Oklahoma City, Ok., and finally to Denver, Co. where they spent the remainder of their years.

Otis and Esther were married for 53 years before he passed away in 2006. Together they had

4 children, 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great - great grandchild with another one due in January.

Esther was a homemaker and enjoyed spending her days caring for her children and being a wife. She loved to cook, sew, crochet and in the final years she put together many jigsaw puzzles. Her family was always her greatest joy and she felt very blessed to have that loving support system around her.
