Esther A. Hamilton, 92, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022. She was born to Edwin and
Alice Ochs in Mullinville Kansas, on March 27, 1930.
Esther graduated from Golden High School, the class of 1947. She married the love of her life,
Jim Hamilton, on March 25, 1948. They were married for 60 years, and lived in the Golden area
during those years. She was a faithful member of Fairmount Bible Church for over 50 years,
where she served as a Sunday school teacher, nursery attendant, Awana leader and choir
member. Esther was known as a sweet lady who was happy with the simple things in life. She
lived in, and raised her three sons in the small home they built for over 50 years. She loved
working with flowers, and helped many couples with their wedding flower arrangements over
the years. She also loved doing crafts including ceramics, crocheting and quilting. Her family
and home were the joys of her life.
Esther was predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Alice Ochs, her husband, Jim Hamilton,
son, Ken Hamilton, grandson, Travis Hamilton, great granddaughter Carly Montgomery, several
siblings and friends. She is survived by sons, Edwin Hamilton (Cammie), James Hamilton
(Deb), Daughter in law, Dawn Hamilton, Grandchildren, Sharla, Amanda, Joshua (Jen), Leah
(Matt), 11 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren (with 2 on the way), nephews and
friends.
Funeral services will be held at Fairmount Bible Church, 15100 W 48th Ave, Golden CO 80401,
May 9th 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Viewing will be held prior, at 9:30 a.m. Private Family Burial following at Golden
Cemetery. There will be a reception following burial at Fairmount Bible Church.
