Esther F. Magistrini of Aurora Co. passed on Monday Feb.28, 2011. Esther served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was secretary to General Alfred M. Gruenther, Supreme Allied Commander. Esther retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 Years of service. She was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, the Retired Enlisted Association, WAVES National (and Local Chapter), the National Assoc. for Uniformed Services, Society of Military Widows ( and local Columbine Chapter #22), and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Aurora, Co..
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, BSN Ret Stephen P Magistrini, and her sisters, Florence Lindemann and husband Harvey, Mollie Petry and husband Walter, and niece Shirley Craig and husband Paul. Esther is survived by her niece, Karen Grampp and husband Fred, great niece Kathy Roberts and husband Mike, great nephew John Craig and wife Deborah, great niece Shira Sandell and husband Terry, great nephew Brian Chase and life partner Charlie Lopez and great nieces Kristen Flipse, Heidi Grampp, and great great nieces Rachel Craig and Megan Flipse and great great nephews Joshua and Matthew Craig, Ryan Flipse, Evan and Alan Roberts and Jonathan Sandell.
It was Esther's wish that in lieu of flowers, donations to one of the following charities may be made in her memory: St. Mark's Lutheran Church (Please designate for " Food Pantry", or "Music Program", or "preschool/ Kindergarten"), the Salvation Army, or the Red Cross.
