Esther R. Seeley, 90, of Aurora, passed away May 31, 2019.
She was born November 3, 1928 in Windsor, Colorado, the daughter of Joseph and Maria (Nieto) Ramirez.
She was a graduate of Pierce High School in Pierce, Colorado. She attended business school in Denver where she received her Associate degree. On November 10, 1951, she married Patrick Seeley at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center.
Esther worked for Colorado Surplus Property for 28 years where she was responsible for many office and warehouse tasks.
Esther was a founding member of St. Pius X Parish in Aurora along with her husband, Patrick. She was also active in the Altar and Rosary Society at the church. Esther was a member-supporter of the Humane Society of the United States and the Indian Schools.
Esther loved going to any Public Library. She also enjoyed going to Jazzercise classes for 30 years and she was an avid walker. Esther and Patrick traveled extensively in Europe including Ireland, Scotland, Greece, Spain and Italy, and then in Panama, Venezuela, Mexico and Hawaii. They would travel with the Giardinas and Ray and Joan Seeley. Esther loved listening and dancing to Jazz, Big Band and Mariachi music. Her favorite dance partner was her husband, Patrick and Esther's favorite singer was Nat King Cole.
Esther is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Patrick Seeley; three daughters, Angie McVicker, Debra Ramirez, and Jill Livran; seven grandchildren, Jessica Renee (Justin) Bradley, Micaine Anthony Seeley, John Michael McVicker, Tyrim Seeley, Donnie Seeley, Kayte Livran, and Bridgette Livran; four great-grandchildren, Jordyn Bradley, Jaxon Bradley, Jenna Bradley and Josie Bradley; sister, Mary Lou McKnight and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Donald Patrick Seeley and Michael Frederick Seeley, father, Joseph Ramirez; mother, Maria Ramirez; four sisters, Isabel Madrid, Antonia Redin, Rachel Olvera and Angie Ramirez; five brothers, Sam Ramirez, Danny Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, Joe Ramirez and Jimmy Ramirez and a brother who passed in infancy.
