Etta Maurine Mowry
Etta Maurine Mowry, 83, passed away October 26, 2007 at the Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Cora (Beatty) Mowry; seven brothers and sisters. Survived by her sister, Leta Pietrafeso, of Arvada, Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
Etta was born in Grant, Nebraska and the family later moved to Limon, Colorado. She graduated from Limon High School in Limon and also graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She received her Dieticians Degree from Denver University, Denver, Colorado.
She was a Licencesd Dietician at Denver General Hospital (Denver Health Medical Center) in Denver for many years until her retirement.
Etta was a member of the American Dietetic Association. She joined the Trinity United Methodist Church when she moved to Denver over 50 years ago. Etta was very active within the church, community and various organizations.
In accordance to her wishes, Etta was cremated and her ashes will be laid to rest privately, beside her parents, in Pershing Cemetery, Limon, Colorado.
Memorial Services will be Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 1:30P.M. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1820 Broadway, Denver, Colorado, with Rev. Linda Marshall, officating. A reception will follow, also at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1820 Broadway, Denver, CO 80202 in Etta's memory.
