Evelyn Teresa Crum, 90, of Denver died Sunday, March 3, 2019. She was born to the late Frank and Virginia Leo on May 21, 1928 in Denver, CO. Evelyn graduated from St. Joseph High School in Denver, CO. She married Lester W. Crum on August 30, 1947 and they lived in Denver for all 71 years of their marriage.
Evelyn was an excellent student equally proficient in English as well as math. She was a bookkeeper for a local furniture store while still in high school. After marriage Evelyn maintained a loving household while working at home as a seamstress and taking in clothes for alterations. She returned to bookkeeping once her son was in high school. She retired from Fred Schmidt appliance store in 1989.
She had many close friends. She enjoyed their fellowship many of which were lifetime friends from her high school years. Whether a recent friend or a life long friend, Evelyn recognized and appreciated each person's uniqueness. More than one considered her Mom though she had only one child.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Lester W. and her son, Lester L. (Karen); three grand children: Alicia (Scott) of Chicago, Ryan (Kelly) of Denver, and Erin (Christopher) of Portland, Oregon and five great-grand children.
Services are pending at Ft. Logan Cemetery.
