Evelyn Gertrude Ljungvall, 94, a longtime resident of Golden, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2021 at the Berthoud Living Center in Berthoud, Colorado.

Evelyn was born on October 26, 1927 in Danbury, Nebraska to Adolph A. and Minne E. (Seeman) Weskamp. Evelyn was the eleventh of thirteen children born to the Weskamps. She grew up in McCook, Nebraska and graduated from McCook High School in 1946.

Evelyn moved to Denver, Colorado following high school where she worked at a small department store and volunteered at a local hospital. It was through her volunteer work that she met Donald Ljungvall. Evelyn and Donald were married December 12, 1947 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Golden, Colorado. Together they had four children, John, Mark, David and Karen.

Evelyn and her family enjoyed fishing and spending time in the mountains of Colorado. She also enjoyed spending holidays with nearby siblings and their families, especially watching fireworks displays on the Fourth of July.

For many years, the family served as caretakers of the Calvary Episcopal Church from the early 1950s until 1979. Evelyn also worked in the Jefferson County Clerk's office until her retirement.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Albert Ljungvall on April 19, 2000; her son, John Albert Ljungvall; as well as her 12 siblings.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Ljungvall of Barre, Vermont and David Ljungvall of Frederick, Colorado; daughter, Karen Ljungvall of Golden, Colorado; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
