Felipe Natividad Gonzalez, 88, passed away September 6th, 2010, accompanied by his family in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A viewing followed by a rosary will be held at Newcomers Mortuary in Denver, Colorado.
Felipe was born April 20th, 1922 in El Paso, Texas to Mariana Natividad and Perfecto Gonzalez. He was drafted into the military in 1942, and served in Europe, where his bravery and sacrifice earned him a Silver Star and a Purple Heart medal. He was Honorably Discharged in 1945. In the years following, Felipe met Rosa Gonzales, they moved to Denver and he started working for the city of Denver. He retired in 1985 and has since enjoyed his free time traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Felipe is survived by his Sister Rosa Lopez; Daughters Josephine Chavarria and Roberta Villegas; Grandchildren Betty Avalos, Rose Cosio, John Chavarria, Joe Chavaria, Tony Villegas, Emily Villegas, David Villegas, Victoria Pimintel , Josie Villegas, 18 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren, Great Great Great Grandchildren, Devyn Cordova, Damien Cordova, Dimitrius Cordova.
He is predeceased by his Wife Rosa Gonzalez; Great Great Grandson Aurelius Cordova; Brothers Nicholas Gonzalez, Perfecto Gonzalez, Gilbert; Sisters Virgina Alvarado, Alicia.
