Filbert B. Penaflor

born in Sheridan, WY on January 6, 1938, was called home by his Heavenly Father on July 20, 2007. Survived by his wife, Rosario Barrera Penaflor; children Shirley Penaflor, Connie Penaflor, Anthony Penaflor, Anita Evanyo, and Darren Penaflor; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; extended family Vincent Barrera, Rosalind Shafer, Gabriel Barrera and Jessie Barrera; brothers and sisters Beatrice Mondragon, Ignacio Penaflor, Genevieve Tellez, David Penaflor, Phillip Penaflor and Joseph Penaflor; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents David and Ann Penaflor; sister Maxine Penaflor. Graduated Gilcrest High School, 1955, Salutatorian. Nominated to the Air Force Academy. Attended University of Northern Colorado. Played semi-pro baseball for the Greeley Grays. Served in the United States Army. Memorial Mass Thursday 7 P.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary 11385 Grant Dr., Northglenn, CO 80233. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Immaculate Heart of Mary Food Bank.
