Florence Irene Yarberry-Jarvis
April 4, 1933-March 16, 2022
Florence passed after a five-year battle with cancer peacefully, at the age of eighty-eight, in her home of fifty-two years. Florence is survived by her five children, John, Beverly, Susie, Florine, and Georgina. She delighted in her eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She had two sisters, Doris, and Francis and three brothers, John, Ray, and Harold, all deceased. She was married to George Yarberry for 35 years until his death in 1992. She married Samuel Jarvis, now deceased, in retirement and had twenty of the happiest years of her life. They were truly meant for each other.
She was born in Monmouth Ill and moved to Yampa Co shortly thereafter. She had fond childhood memories of Yampa where she enjoyed the open spaces on horseback and her formative school years. She cherished these years as some of the happiest in her life.
Florence was a working mother supporting the home financially, and through much of her life, working as part owner of an insurance agency. Her knowledge, work ethic and integrity were hallmarks of her career.
Florence was beautiful, both inside and out. Her faith in God helped her through all the challenges life can bring. In life, and in her ultimate battle with cancer, she displayed never ending courage and the utmost grace. She always knew she was going to be with Jesus.
