Forrest L Brewer of Watkins, CO passed away on July 3, 2023. He was born to the late Elva and Elsie Brewer on February 7, 1932 in Lowry Oklahoma.
After attending Kansas High School in Kansas, OK he went on to earn a Bachelors Degree at Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, OK. Forrest served in the Army during form 1953 to 1955 earning him a visit to Korea at the end of the Korean War.
In 1959 Forrest married Vida L Tuttle in Montgomery, AL. They made their first home in Wichita Falls, TX where their daughter joined the family. They moved to Aurora, CO in 1963 and added a son in 1968.
Forrest worked for the Civil Service at Lowry AFB Training Center for 32 years, retiring in 1988. Upon retirement they moved to Watkins, CO, or as he lovingly referred to it the "Garden Spot of the Nation". Forrest enjoyed building houses and driving his tractor as much as possible.
Forrest is survived by his wife, Vida Brewer, daughter Susan (Chris Nielsen) Brewer of Bennett CO, son Robert (Ellen) Brewer of Bennett CO, granddaughter Courtney (Lars) Luhrsen of Cheyenne WY, grandsons Jacob Brewer and Jacen Brewer of Bennett CO, and great-grandchildren Lane Luhrsen and Belle Luhrsen of Cheyenne WY.
